Julian has studied musical harmony and composition at Leeds College Of Music. He knows a great deal about musical theory, however his
approach is much more tailored to the practical side of each instrument with more of an emphasis on getting his pupils to play preferred tunes while having fun.
Julian has over 25 years of experience in the music business, a wealth of musical knowledge and also much experience as a performer having played with many bands and artists through the years.
He also manages his own bands.
Lessons are usually taught in the studio at his home in Worth East Sussex, close to Surry and West Sussex.

I have been having harmonica lessons with Julian for around three years and I have found them immensely enjoyable. I have exceeded my expectations and Julian teaches in a way that makes each class enjoyable, and he has a wealth of musical knowledge and experience to pass on. I have enjoyed my lessons so much that my son now comes with me to have lessons on the saxophone with Julian and he also enjoys the lessons and listens avidly to everything Julian tells him. I live 18 miles away from Julian but it is worth the travel for such an excellent and experienced teacher.
